Ever wondered who gets your favourite books talked about — in newspapers, on podcasts, across social media and beyond?

Join us for an exclusive inside look at one of publishing's most dynamic and fast-evolving careers: Publicity.

Whether you're looking to break into the industry or pivot from another field, Eleanor will share her own career journey alongside honest, practical insight into what it really takes to build a career in publishing publicity today.

What you'll discover:

  • The reality of a Publicist's day to day — and how no two campaigns are the same
  • How Eleanor has navigated her own career path, from bookselling to major publishing houses
  • The campaigns she's loved most, and where she's had to get truly creative
  • How publicity and marketing are evolving and overlapping as the media landscape shifts
  • What it means to run campaigns in a world where traditional press coverage is increasingly competitive — and how to adapt
  • Concrete pathways into publicity, whatever your background
